Why Join PLSA?

Becoming a member of PLSA enables you, your library service and your governing authority to have a voice in the peak body for public libraries in South Australia, and through PLSA, in the future of the public library network


Eligibility

Membership of PLSA is open to councils and library services who are eligible for subsidy under the 1982 Libraries Act, and is only valid where the library administration has agreed to accept the Council's objectives and has paid the prescribed membership fee (see below)

Representatives of member libraries are required both to have also agreed to accept PLSA's objectives, and to be appointed to the senior library management team of their respective library.


Fee Structure

PLSA's fee structure is based on the population served by member libraries.

   0 to 2,000    $270
   2,001 to 35,000    $540
   35,000 and over    $810
